Long time, no blog!

Recently I have been pretty awful at blogging..the surprise heatwave, trips to Devon and Bath, the Queens Diamond Jubilee and generally having a jolly good time have got in the way! So here are some snaps of what I've baked over the past month..

Happy belated Valentines y'all!

Hope everyone got spoilt rotten yesterday..I certainly did, even though I live 300 miles away from the boy (he's good). I had a dozen red roses and a box of chocolates delivered to my door (funny story about collecting them..) and I feel very loved :)

As a little Valentines treat for my lovely friends at Tigerprint, I made them all Red Velvet cupcakes. Now I'm not one to brag, but they were ruddy good. If I can do one thing well, it's bake a cake. So after dying myself, pretty much every tea towel I own and the kitchen red, they were baked, decorated and ready to go.

All the cupcakes were personalised with a washi tape flag..

They were VERY red! :)
